juicy tidbit stolen from that enigmatic brilliance shaktipat

"To the delight not only of scholars but also of Templar buffs around the world, who have been captivated by Dan Brown's stories, they are publishing facsimile reproductions of the original account in Latin of the investigation and trial into the alleged misdeeds of the Knights Templar. It took place in Rome between 1307 and 1312.

The document, known as the Chinon parchment, shows that Pope Clement V found the Templars not guilty of heresy, but guilty of other lesser infractions of Church law. Nonetheless he ordered the disbandment of the order."

Because of Sunday evening...
Wuthering Heights

Out on the wiley, windy moors
We'd roll and fall in green.
You had a temper like my jealousy:
Too hot, too greedy.
How could you leave me,
When I needed to possess you?
I hated you. I loved you, too.

Bad dreams in the night.
They told me I was going to lose the fight,
Leave behind my wuthering, wuthering
Wuthering Heights.

Heathcliff, it's me--Cathy.
Come home. I'm so cold!
Let me in-a-your window.

Heathcliff, it's me--Cathy.
Come home. I'm so cold!
Let me in-a-your window.

Ooh, it gets dark! It gets lonely,
On the other side from you.
I pine a lot. I find the lot
Falls through without you.
I'm coming back, love.
Cruel Heathcliff, my one dream,
My only master.

Too long I roam in the night.
I'm coming back to his side, to put it right.
I'm coming home to wuthering, wuthering,
Wuthering Heights,

Heathcliff, it's me--Cathy.
Come home. I'm so cold!
Let me in-a-your window.

Heathcliff, it's me--Cathy.
Come home. I'm so cold!
Let me in-a-your window.

Ooh! Let me have it.
Let me grab your soul away.
Ooh! Let me have it.
Let me grab your soul away.
You know it's me--Cathy!

Heathcliff, it's me--Cathy.
Come home. I'm so cold!
Let me in-a-your window.

Heathcliff, it's me--Cathy.
Come home. I'm so cold!
Let me in-a-your window.

Heathcliff, it's me--Cathy.
Come home. I'm so cold!

The Shrub Who Shall Not Be Named Strikes Again!

Why am I not a bit surprised?

Wiccan War Hero's Widow Excluded From President Bush's Meeting With
Veterans' Families

Rev. Barry Lynn Demands Presidential Apology

On Tuesday, August 28, following an address to the American Legion's
national convention in Reno, Nevada, President George W. Bush met with
northern Nevada family members of soldiers who have perished in combat.

Roberta Stewart, a Wiccan whose husband, Sgt. Patrick Stewart, was killed
in combat in the war in Afghanistan, was not invited.

"I'm upset that I wasn't invited," Roberta said of the meeting. "I think it is because of my faith. I feel like I've been discriminated against again."

In 2006, Americans United for Separation of Church and State (AU) sued the
US Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) in federal court representing Roberta Stewart; her church, Circle Sanctuary; and others. AU argued that
the VA's refusal to recognize the pentacle as a symbol of faith violated
the religious liberty rights of Wiccan service members and their families
and subverted the separation of church and state.

Earlier this year, the VA settled the lawsuit and finally added the pentacle to its list of religious symbols that are permitted on the gravestones it issues to honor deceased veterans.

"I had hoped that with this settlement, that finally the Executive branch
of the federal government was giving equal treatment to Wiccan veterans and their families. However, it seems that the White House is still not doing
this, and I find the exclusion of Roberta Stewart from this meeting appalling," said Rev. Selena Fox, senior minister of Circle Sanctuary. Sgt. Stewart's VA-issued gravestone with pentacle was dedicated on Memorial
Day at the church's national cemetery near Barneveld, Wisconsin.

The Rev. Barry W. Lynn, executive director of Americans United, also
condemned Bush's snub of Stewart. "The president should issue an apology to Roberta Stewart," Lynn said. "She stood courageously for religious freedom for all soldiers, and the president was wrong to treat her so shabbily."

During the litigation, AU attorneys unearthed evidence that the VA's
refusal to recognize the pentacle may have been motivated by bias toward
the Wiccan faith.

It appeared that the VA did not want to recognize the faith, which President Bush has publicly derided in the past.

Lynn said the president's snub of Roberta Stewart smacked of retaliation
for her public and successful stand against the administration policy.

"President Bush seems to be continuing a pattern of hostility toward the
Wiccan faith," he said. "That's an outrage. America is a nation of great
religious diversity, and all public officials, especially the president,
have an obligation to serve all of the people. Our Constitution mandates
equal treatment of all faiths."

Your Score: Orpheus

33% Extroversion, 100% Intuition, 100% Emotiveness, 71% Perceptiveness

You are an artist, an aesthete, a sensitive, and someone who has never really let go of that childlike innocence. To you, all of life has a sense of wonder in it, and the story of Orpheus was written about someone just like you.

When the Argo passed the island of the Sirens, Orpheus played a song more beautiful than the Sirens to prevent the crew from becoming enticed. When his wife died, he ventured into the underworld to charm Hades but, in his naivete, he looked back becoming trapped there.

You can capture your unique world view and relate it to others with the skill of a master storyteller. Your sensitivity and creativity make you a treasure to the human race, but your thin-skinned nature and innocence can cause you a lot of disenchantment and pain. What's doubly unfortunate is that, if you try to lose those traits, you never will, and everyone will be able to tell that you're putting up an artificial shell to prevent yourself from being hurt.

Famous people like you: Hemingway, Shakespeare, Mr. Rogers, Melville, Nick Tosches
Stay clear of: Icarus, Hermes, Atlas

What American accent do you have?
Created by Xavier on Memegen.net

You're probably from somewhere near New York City, possibly north Jersey, or Connecticut or Rhode Island. If you are from New York City you may be one of the types who people never believe when you say you're from New York.

Take this quiz now - it's easy!
We're going to start with "cot" and "caught." When you say those words do they sound the same or different?

Thanks fridgedicebunny

Here's a chance to tip the scales of this VERY HOMOPHOBIC group's own survey. The AFA (American Family Association) is expecting an overwhelming majority of respondents to say that they would be 'less likely' to do business with a company if they knew it supported the"homosexual agenda" - whatever that is. So far, they are getting the results they seek. Of course, they are only sending it where they will get the expected results. Let's change the outcome by completing the 1-question survey and sending it to everyone we know who is tired of this archaic and hateful way of thinking. Follow the link below to take action on this important issue. Go to

Help A Cat!
reposted for a friend:

Hey Gang,
My friend needs a home for her long hair black male cat before she comes home from the hospital.
Is anyone interested?????
Misha is an adult persian/domestic mix. He is nutered and declawed. He tolerates the dogs antics pretty good but can be a little irascible with humans. (Not nasty, he just needs his space sometimes.)
This is kind of an emergency because he really should be gone before she gets home, her remaining lung just will not tolerate a cat. It would be a shame to send him back to the shelter after she has had him for 4 years.
Call me if you are interested

The Shrub That Shall Not Be Named Strikes Again!

One of my most loathsome fears regarding the rights of women and a major goal of the twisted, misogynist Bush regime has now been realized. Our only hope now is to sidestep this backward, religious zealot appointed court altogether and establish our rights through appealing to congress with a Freedom of Choice Act (unfortunately this plan is in all probability doomed to be vetoed by The Shrub That Shall Not Be Named).
I am too disheartened even to rant on this one properly. Would somebody blow up this bastard's deathstar already?!?!

The Shrink Test
I attribute this result to a combination of teaching and being among all of the medicated lunatics in the goth scene! Actually, some of my friends here on LJ are in the field and I have learned some terms from them as well. I knew this knowledge would come in handy for more than diagnosing various ex boyfriends some day. Hehee!

, you're now logged in!

Below you'll find your test result. After, continue on to your homescreen to discover what we're about.

You scored 50 MD-worthy!
You've spent a lot of time around pshyciatrists; you may be one, you may even just have a relative you take care of....or it may be yourself! Either way this is a good thing, since you claim you know your "stuff" when giving general advice, and can somewhat prove it. Just beware- don't make any official diagnoses until you're legally liscenced! Otherwise- your friends may sue your ass.

That was good for a laugh.

Another badass quiz from eSPIN-the-Bottle...

The eSPIN Personality Test

You can't be a better person than a saint. You're selfless, sweet, and we wouldn't be surprised if you could perform a miracle or two.

Of all the personality types on this test, yours is by far the most respectable. We mean, how couldn't everyone love you?

Just remember, though - as nice as it is to help other people, sometimes you gotta help yourself a little, too. Don't be afraid to a little selfish every now and then. Seriously! We give you permission.

Take This Quiz!

Save Internet Radio!
The RIAA is about to pass a law that will make independent internet radio illegal. THAT'S RIGHT FOLKS, ILLEGAL.

This means you get to listen only to what the big music corporations say you can listen to (take a visit to your nearest Walmart to see the entire catalog of about 300 artists).

The Recording Industry Association of America (or RIAA) is a trade group that represents the big business record labels and distributors, who create and distribute about 90% of recorded music sold in the US.

The RIAA's primary stated goal is "to protect intellectual property rights worldwide and the First Amendment rights of artists"

Clearly you can see that their primary goal is nothing of the sort.

Their primary goal is, in fact, to increase the salaries of the record industry's executives AT YOUR EXPENSE.

Most bands, including probably half of your favorite ones will never again see airplay in the United States, and you will never get to hear any new music if this law is passed.

I may be waxing a tad dramatic, however...
...there is no Raven, no Korova, no Sundown, and now Albion has "lost it's venue" ?!?!

I believe that our beloved NYC goth scene is sighing her last darkly eloquent breath right before my very eyes!

Might anyone be interested in some necromancy, zombie raising, conjuring or just holding a wacky seance party for the old girl?

For she is fading fast and I shall always want another dance.

For my dear friend Michael (aka. The Swede), who dreamt of my suicide.

And drugs cause cramp.
Guns aren't lawful;
Nooses give;
Gas smells awful;
You might as well live.

Cameron at trinity church on halloween
I found this to satisfy a particular curiosity and thought it would be a shame not to share it with the whole class, so to speak. Many of my friends have met Cameron over the years and yet have never had the privilege of hearing him play. Enjoy.
